Was watching Sid The Science Kid yesterday with 4 year old and was outraged by the offensive ethnic stereotype which offend me as a Cheesehead (I have been in Wisconsin 11 years now!)
They had a short video song called "Food from All Over the World - Nutritious Diet Song" talking about foods from around the world. In addition to the chocolate from Holland and the rice from China, they had a singing milk carton who was from Wisconsin.
Ms. Milk not only announced herself but said something like "They will make you want to dance". The problem was that everyone else had these normal slightly ethnic accents but Ms. Milk had the strongest totally annoying stereotypical Wisconsin accent. It actually sounded very much like Sarah Palin (but even more annoying), maybe a bit of Francis McDormand from Fargo. They also they had cheese from France! Cheese from France, what about cheese from Wisconsin too!
Mommy, I don't ever want to go to Wisconsin, the people up there sound like idiots.
